Working in the nuclear industry

Research and training

Promoting young talent is an important and central concern of Swiss nuclear power plant operators. On their behalf, swissnuclear promotes and coordinates the training of qualified technical personnel. Furthermore, the association supports practice-oriented research projects in the areas of safety, long-term operation and economic efficiency, which are carried out at recognized institutions.
Every two years, swissnuclear organizes the Research Day, during which research results from nuclear research are presented to a wide audience. In addition, swissnuclear supports the maintenance of expertise and the training of young scientists at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI).

Every four years, swissnuclear and its partners conduct a survey of teaching, research and young talent in the Swiss nuclear energy sector. The dossier forms an important basis for the promotion of young talent.
