Since early 2026, Diana Naidoo has been the first woman in Switzerland to head a nuclear power plant. In this interview, the director of the Leibstadt Nuclear Power Plant discusses the responsibilities of her role, the plant’s safe long-term operation, and its ongoing modernization. For her, safety is always the top priority. At the same time, she emphasizes the plant’s central role in the electricity supply—especially in winter: “We’re here to supply Switzerland with electricity when no one else is.”
